I Love Web Design

Hi, my name is Benjamin Asabir, and welcome to my portfolio! I am an alumnus of Humber College and have an extensive background in Fashion Business and Marketing. I am currently working at Hudson's Bay as a Visual/Marketing Associate. My interest in Web Development started during my last semester at Humber College, where I primarily focused on Graphic Design and Marketing, which lead to me taking up courses on Free Code Camp and Udemy, and instantly getting hooked in the world of Web/App Development.

I am also an alumus of University Of Toronto. Having graduated from their full stack web development program, I am also working as a freelance web developer. During my time working as a freelancer, the experience has helped me improve my skills as well as mastery over other necessary development tools and languages, and provided me with extensive knowledge on how to work in an agile environment. The intricacies of Web/App Development has long been a strong passion of mine. I am currently looking for an opportunity to work as a full-time FrontEnd Web Developer.

The application follows the MVC paradigm in its architectural structure, using Handlebars.js as the templating language, Sequelize as the ORM, and the express-session npm package for authentication.

An application that lets users connect with each other based on their love of pizza!

In Pizza Wars, users can share and discuss their dream pizza-topping combinations. Pizza is ubiquitous in everyday life all over the world, and no application has ever been created with the sole purpose of facilitating discussions about it. This application uses Express.js for routing, a MongoDB database, and the Mongoose ODM.
